  18. What is it?
  19. ===========
  20.    A  Cross-Dos/MSH  like program.  It will allow you to
  21. read MS-DOS disks with a standard 3 1/2 drive.
  22.  
  23. Installation:
  24. =============
  25.    Copy l/MultiDosFileSystem to l:
  26.    Copy devs/multidos.device to devs:
  27.    Execute  PcMountAll  from  Workbench or CLI(put it in
  28. your s:user-startup).

  30. What do I do now?
  31. =================
  32.    MS-DOS  disks  will now be available through dfx:  as
  33. all other Amiga disks.

  37.    What  is  MultiDos?  If you have heard of CrossDos or
  38. MSH,  it  is  just  about  the same thing.  Only better,
  39. since  you can read both MS-DOS and AMIGA-DOS disks from
  40. the  same  Device  name  (DF0:,  DF1:,  DF2:  and DF3:).
  41. There  is also a non standard format supported.  (MS-DOS
  42. on  trackdisk  blocks,  gives you 880K disks.) Just note
  43. that  880K  format is not readable on a MS-DOS computer.
  44. It  is  possible  to  make  a mountlist entry to support
  45. this.

  47.    If  MultiDos are mounted as MDx:, it will steal DFx:.
  48. This  is done to cut down the diskchange overhead.  This
  49. will also make it possible to read MS-DOS diskettes from
  50. DFx:.  If you mount MultiDos whith another name, it will
  51. not steal DFx:.
